Roy Hale, a singer/songwriter originally from Arkansas, played original material at the Pickin’ & Pluckin’ Jamboree on Tuesday at the Plains. The opening act of the Pickin’ & Pluckin’ Jamboree was the James River Bluegrass Band, comprised of Todd Goehring, Denny Mahowald and Steve Besch. The main act at the Jamboree was the Pheasant Band. Proceeds of the event went to the South Dakota Outdoor Adventure Foundation, the Huron Step Outside Youth Program and the PDR Youth Deer Hunt.
