HURON —The Huron Board of Realtors is pleased to announce Realtors for Kids of Huron. This is a new organization designed to help children in need. The group hopes to give back to Huron and the surrounding areas by helping with everyone’s future, the children.
They are currently accepting donations for children’s socks and undergarments for boys and girls (no tube socks please) for distribution this holiday season. Checks and cash donations are also welcome.
Thanks to the efforts and the generosity of the realtors and the support of the communities that they serve, the Realtors for Kids organizations around the state is more than just a “fill in the gaps” funding group. RFK has developed ties to other organizations and agencies that watch over and support children. It has expanded its reach to help children and their families who have ongoing medical expenses, provide funding for children to attend preschool, assist children with clothing needs, and much more.
One of the designated drop box sites is located at Montgomery Agency Real Estate, 1544 Dakota Ave. S. All donations may be dropped off during business hours Monday through Saturday or mailed into the office. For the complete article see the 11-30-2012 issue.
