TRENTON, Mo. — Clara Pommer, 85, formerly of Emery, died Saturday, Dec. 22, 2012, at Eastview Manor Care Center in Trenton.
The funeral will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Bittner Funeral Chapel in Mitchell. Burial will be in Greenhill Cemetery at Alexandria. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
Clara Nelson was born Feb. 15, 1927, at Ethan to Nels and Anna (Wiberg) Nelson. She graduated from Mitchell High School. On June 16, 1946, she married Harold Pommer at Emery. They farmed in the Farmer area, lived in Pierre and Huron, then moved to Trenton in 1968. They owned and operated the Pommer-Davis Paint Store. She was a member of the Presbyterian church and the Order of the Eastern Star.
She is survived by a daughter, Loretta McDonald of Huron; two grandsons; 11 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Ella Peterson of Mitchell.
She was preceded in death by her husband; a son-in-law, Gary McDonald; three brothers; and three sisters.
