Doris Aymar, 89, of Miller

MILLER Doris Aymar, 89, died Thursday, Dec. 27, 2012, at Hand County Memorial Hospital following a brief illness.

The funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at First United Methodist Church in Miller with the Rev. Mark Johnsen officiating. Burial will follow in G.A.R. Cemetery at Miller. Visitation will be Sunday from 5 to 7 p.m. with a 7 p.m. prayer service at the church.

Doris Mae Phillips was born March 31, 1923, to Claude and Bertha (Marshall) Phillips. She graduated from St. Lawrence High School in 1941. On June 15, 1941, she married Glenn Aymar at St. Lawrence. They lived on the family farm in Hand County. She moved to Miller in 1974. She was a member of Greenleaf United Methodist Church, ladies aid and First United Methodist Church. She enjoyed gardening. She was a Shaklee distributor and worked at K&K Greenery.

She is survived by a son, Duane (Sandie) of Miller; two grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; four brothers, Roger of Kingfisher, Okla., Donald (Karen) of Oregon City, Ore., Jerry of Sherwood, Ore., and Steve (Margaret) of Pierre; four sisters, Erma (Victor) Woodruff of Wolsey, Mona Brock of Scappoose, Ore., Lora Stoudt of Vancouver, Ore., and Thyria Ellis of San Diego, Calif.; and two sisters-in-law, La Vern Phillips of Miller and Louella Phillips of Vancouver, Wash.

She was preceded in death by her husband and eight siblings.
