HURON — Marcella Malikowski, 66, of Huron, died Thursday, Dec. 27, 2012 at the Avera Heart Hospital in Sioux Falls.
Her funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Holy Trinity Catholic Parish in Huron, with burial at St. Martin Cemetery in Huron.
Visitation with the family present will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Welter Funeral Home in Huron with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. tonight, followed by a rosary; or visitation one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday. Visit www.welterfuneralhome.com.
Marcella Gross was born Jan. 27, 1946, to Sam D. and Elizabeth (Kleinsasser) Gross on the family farm near Hitchcock. She attended school and graduated from Hitchcock High School.
She married Larry Malikowski on Oct. 23, 1965, in Huron.
She was a member of the St. Martin Catholic Church and the Holy Trinity Catholic Parish, and served as usher for both churches for many years. She enjoyed sewing, gardening and fishing.
She is survived by her husband, Larry of Huron; two daughters, Candy (Ed) Peskey of Rochester, Minn., and Windy (Eric) Zell of Cavour; seven grandchildren; six brothers, Vernel, Clifford, Allen, LeRoy, Victor and Duane Gross; three sisters, Marlys Spain, Mary Ann Gross and Gladys Hofer; and several nieces and nephews.
