PARKSTON — Wolsey-Wessington pulled away in the second half for a 56-35 victory against Corsica-Stickney at the Parkston Classic on Saturday.
Lorenzo Williams had 17 points to lead three players in double figures for the Warbirds. Roy Lumpkin and Ryan Sprecher each added 12 points.
Alex Babcock had a team-high nine rebounds for Wolsey-Wessington, while Hayden Hooks had eight assists.
Adam Bormann led Corsica-Stickney (3-2) with 14 points and eight rebounds.
The Warbirds, who are now 5-0, will travel to face Iroquois on Jan. 8.
Sully Buttes 64, Wessington Springs 36
PARKSTON — Sully Buttes outscored Wessington Springs 21-3 in the second quarter en route to a 64-36 victory on Saturday at the Parkston Classic.
Brayden Wittler and Scott Senftner led the Chargers with 16 and 15 points, respectively.
Jevon Hohn had 14 points to lead Wessington Springs (1-4), while Zac Paulsen added nine points.
The Spartans will face Mount Vernon-Plankinton in Plankinton on Friday.
Miller 38, McCook Central-Montrose 34
PARKSTON — After trailing by six points at the end of the opening quarter, Miller rallied for a 38-34 victory against McCook Central-Montrose on Saturday in the Parkston Classic.
Drew Beilke and Lee Sivertsen each had 11 points for the Rustlers, who improved to 2-1.
Billy Kapperman, Will Gottlob and Branden Reif all had eight points to lead McCook Central-Montrose.
Miller will host Mobridge-Pollock on Friday.
JVC 72, Warner 45
PARKSTON — James Valley Christian cruised to a 72-45 victory against Warner in the Parkston Classic on Saturday.
Adam Hofer and Nathan Wedel each had 19 points for the Vikings, who improved to 3-0. Alex Waldner also reached double figures with 14 points.
Leon Brondsema had a team-high eight rebounds for JVC, while Andrew Ulvestad had four assists and Hofer had five steals.
Derek Tuszka led Warner with 18 points, while Jarrod Tuszka added 14 points.
The Vikings will host Sully Buttes on Saturday.
