Huron gymnasts second in triangular

HURON — The Huron Tiger gymnastics team finished second in their triangular meet with Watertown and Britton-Hecla.

The Tigers scored 132.650 which is around one point from the team record, while Watertown scored 146.050 to win the meet. Britton-Hecla finished third with 115.900. Senior Kelsey King finished fourth in the overall standings with a total of 34.500.

Kristi Bramer of Watertown had the top score of 37.950, while teammate Lynn Hanten was second with a 37.150 and Allison Stadheim finished third just edging King with a 34.650.

Junior Hailey McCune finished sixth overall with a score of 31.850 and sophomore Jordan Waldner was seventh with a score of 31.400.

McCune had a top-5 finish in the vault (9.200), while King was third in the balanced beam (9.250) and senior Tessa Musil was fourth with a 9.0.

Sophomore Allie Brink finished fifth in the floor exercise, scoring 8.6.
