PIERRE — Ice issues suspended the Huron All-Stars game against the Oahe Capitalz on Sunday in Pierre with the score tied at 1-1 after two periods.
Both teams scored during the second period.
Huron had the first goal, with Paul Cramer scoring and Taylor Sibson and Austin Duxbury earning assists.
Oahe evened the score with a shorthanded goal during the final minute of the second period with a short-handed goal by Austin Wagner.
When the game was halted, both teams had 13 shots on goal. Parker Hook had 12 saves for the All-Stars, while Kyle Mammenga had the same amount of saves for Oahe.
Huron 4, Mitchell 2
MITCHELL — Justin Ruedebusch had a pair of goals to lead the Huron All-Stars to a 4-2 victory against Mitchell on Friday.
Ruedebusch opened the scoring with an unassisted goal just over a minute into the game for the All-Stars.
Mitchell would even the score late in the first period with a short-handed goal by Jacob Cersosimo.
Ruedebusch’s second unassisted goal would be the only scoring by either team in the second period, allowing Huron to carry a 2-1 lead into the final period.
An unassisted goal by Justin Davis boosted the All-Stars’ lead to 3-1 and was followed by a goal by Austin Duxbury on a pass from Ruedebusch.
Mitchell’s second goal came with under two minutes to play on a shot by Alex Murtha.
Mitchell managed just 12 shots on goal, with Huron goalie Alec Sibson stopping 10 of them for the win. Weston Gauger, who suffered the loss for the Marlins, had 24 saves.
