HURON — James Valley Christian improved to 5-0 with an 81-55 victory against Mount Vernon-Plankinton on Tuesday at the JVC gym.
JVC held a 19-14 lead at the end of the opening quarter and carried a 35-27 lead into the half.
Nathan Wedel erupted for a game-high 33 points to lead the Vikings, while Adam Hofer and Leon Brondsema added 16 and 11 points, respectively.
Wedel also had a team-high nine rebounds to help JVC to a 24-21 advantage on the boards.
Deric Denning led the Titans, who are now 3-4, with 22 points. Kellam Karst also reached double figures with 10 points and had seven rebounds.
