Lorrie Lund, 65, of Watonga, Okla.

WATONGA, Okla. — Lorrie Lund, 65, died Monday, Jan. 7, 2013, at Mercy Hospital in Oklahoma City, Okla.

A memorial service will be held Feb. 16 at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Blunt.

Lorrie Kay Lund was born April 15, 1947, at Mitchell to Peter and Ruth (Lehr) Lund. She grew up in the Alpena and Huron areas. She moved to Pierre to work for the state of South Dakota.

She married Dale Kiepke in 1969. They were later divorced. She worked at various places in Pierre, including the S.D. Legislature and KCCR Radio. She moved to Watonga in December 2000. She enjoyed visiting with family and friends.

She is survived by five children, Jeff (Ruthann) Kiepke of Blunt, Tonia Soldan of Salina, Kan., Brenda (Steve) Walter of Choctaw, Okla., Dawn (Kasey) Smith of Fort Pierre and Melanie (Bryan) Schaefer of Watonga; a brother, Dennis (Theresa) of Wall;12 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a grandchild.
