HURON — A Huron man pleaded not guilty to three dozen sex-related offenses during a Tuesday morning arraignment.
John G. Rose, 65, was earlier indicted by a Beadle County grand jury.
He faces 12 counts of possession or manufacture of child pornography, eight counts of aggravated incest, eight counts of rape in the first degree and eight counts of sexual contact with a child under 16.
Rose is free after posting bond.
During his arraignment, Rose was ordered to surrender his passport. A trial was set for March 16.
The defendant is represented by Jeff Burns, who was privately retained as his counsel.
The indictment is a result of an ongoing investigation by the Huron Police Department and the state Division of Criminal Investigation.For the complete article see the 01-16-2013 issue.
