REDFIELD — Shirley A. Guenthner, 80, of Redfield, died Sunday, Jan. 20, 2013, at her home.
Her funeral will be Monday at 2 p.m. at First Congregational UCC Church in Redfield, with the Rev. Tim Fugman officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery in Redfield.
Visitation will be Sunday from 3 to 7 p.m. with the family present from 5 to 6 p.m. at Thelen Funeral Home in Redfield.
Shirley Johnson was born March 14, 1932, in Spink County to Frank and Mary (Loesch) Johnson. She attended Redfield High School.
She married Leo Guenthner in Redfield on June 2, 1950. They lived on a farm near Redfield for a few years before moving into Redfield. She enjoyed fishing and baking. She was a member of the First Congregational UCC Church and women’s group.
She is survived by three children, Janet (Gary) Broer of San Tan Valley, Ariz., Gordon Guenthner of Chandler, Ariz., and Denis Guenthner of Shoreview, Minn.; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Leo, in 1981.
