Alan R. Purintun, 84, of De Smet

DE SMET — Alan R. Purintun, 84, of De Smet, died Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2013, at the Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls.

His funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the United Church of Christ in De Smet with the Rev. James Truesdell officiating. A private burial will be held on Saturday prior to services at the church.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at the Osthus Funeral Home in De Smet. The family requests memorials honoring Alan’s life be given to the De Smet Hospital Renovation Project, the Union Gospel Mission in Sioux Falls, or the Garden of Remembrance of the De Smet Cemetery.
