ST. BONIFACIUS, Minn. — Eric Hoefert, 33, of St. Bonifacius, Minn., and formerly of Seneca, died Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2013, in Chaska, Minn.
His funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. today at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Seneca, with the Rev. Daniel Tews officiating. Burial will follow in the Oakland Cemetery, Seneca.

Eric Robert Hoefert was born Feb. 7, 1979, at Gettysburg to Rick and Louise (Kilber) Hoefert. He attended school in Seneca and Faulkton. In high school he lettered in football, basketball and golf. He attended the University of Minnesota for three and a half years before working at Youngblood Lumber Company.
He enjoyed working with cars, fishing and collecting guns. He was a Chicago Bears fan. He was proud to be an organ donor.
He is survived by his parents, Rick and Louise Hoefert of Seneca; a sister, Gwen (Brent) Larson; a brother Nathan and friend Melisa of Brookings; his grandmother, Alice Kilber of Selby; a niece and nephew; and many aunts and uncles.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents Robert and Gladys Hoefert and Erhard Kilber; an aunt and two cousins.For the complete article see the 01-27-2013 issue.
