A visit to bring cheer

Modified: Monday, Feb 4th, 2013

First three photos: James Valley Christian’s Pre-Kindergarten class was out in the community doing good deeds for Jesus. The class has been studying books by the author, Laura Numeroff, “If You Give a Mouse a Cookie” and “If You Give a Moose a Muffin,” as well as others. They then baked cookies and muffins to take to senior citizens at Stoneybrook Suites and Sunquest Healthcare Center. Besides delivering baked goods, they sang some songs for the residents and then shared their favorite Laura Numeroff books. The residents enjoyed reading books to the Pre-K students and the students enjoyed bringing smiles to the faces of our community’s senior citizens.

In the fourth photo, members of the pre-kindergarten at JVCS include, front row, from left, Gavin Kinsley, Kaitlyn Stahl, Micaiah Brantner, Belle Niederbaumer, Cora Hofer, Monterio Gross, Morgan Connerly and Erik Hoogwerf; and back row, Andie Aughenbaugh, Brandon Burns, Ava Ulvestad, William Simonds, Libby Heyer, Cienna Nei and Regan Rink. The class is taught by Laura Reinders.
