Redfield-Doland earns win against Hitchcock-Tulare

REDFIELD Redfield-Doland outscored Hitchcock-Tulare 20-9 in the second quarter en route to a 52-36 victory on Saturday.

Danielle Waldner and Alicyn Jungwirth led the Lady Pheasants with 16 and 15 points, respectively.

Waldner and Courtney Albrecht each had six rebounds to help Redfield-Doland to a 30-15 advantage on the boards.

Taylor Knippling had 11 points to lead the Lady Patriots, while Molly Koester added 10 points. Both finished with six rebounds.

PLATTE Platte-Geddes used a strong second quarter to pull away in a 76-43 victory against Miller on Saturday.

Josie DeGroot led Platte-Geddes (12-5) with 22 points and 10 rebounds. Kelly Knudson had 21 points, 10 assists and seven steals, while Shelby Rabenberg added 12 points.

Jamie Mentzer and 18 points for the Rustlers (5-10). Jansen Hunter had 10 points and eight rebounds, while Kristen Peterka had six points and seven rebounds and Jaden Kellogg had five rebounds.

Miller travels to play Stanley County today in Fort Pierre.

Sanborn Central-Woonsocket 61, Wolsey-Wessington 25

FORESTBURG Sanborn Central-Woonsocket recorded a 61-25 victory against Wolsey-Wessington in a 281 Conference matchup on Saturday.

Rachelle Moore had 18 points to lead all scorers for the Blackhawks. Shelby Selland had 14 points , while Myah Selland added 11 points.

Shelby Selland also had nine rebounds to help Sanborn Central-Woonsocket to a 38-21 advantage on the boards.

Meagan Eggleston had 11 points to lead the Lady Warbirds. Brittany Bergquist snagged eight rebounds.

Kennedy Wagner had 18 points to lead four players in double figures for Chamberlain (14-1). Alex Pederson and Jaymee Knippling each had 16 points, while Brittany Goodlow had 14 points.

McKenzee Zilverberg had a game-high 23 points for Highmore-Harrold (12-3). Courtney Keller and Tyann Hamlin addd nine and eight points, respectively.

Elizabeth Buchholz grabbed seven rebounds to help the Pirates to a 32-25 advantage on the boards.

Kasey McCauley had 19 points to lead Lower Brule (7-9). Tasha Grassrope and Angelika Edwards added 17 and 12 points, respectively. Edwards also had nine rebounds.

Sheyanne Brodkorb had 13 points to lead Wessington Springs, while Devin Tebay added 12 points.

Shyanne Kopfmann had eight of the 22 rebounds for the Lady Spartans, who are now 5-11.

Chynna Stevens had 21 points and 13 rebounds to lead Clark-Willow Lake. Laura Alexander had nine points, while Mackenzie Huber and Mikayla Prouty each added seven points.

Janelle Paulson had team-high totals with four assists and four steals for the Cyclones.

Haley Strait had 14 points to lead Castlewood, while Sierra Johnson and Stephanie Kerkvliet each had 11 points.
