Members of the Beadle County Bird Watchers invite everyone to take part in the Great Backyard Bird Count planned Feb. 15-18.
To participate, one simply has to watch birds for at least 15 minutes at the location of your choice on one or more of the count days. Estimate the number of birds by species and write them down. At the end of the count, one can go to the Great Backyard Bird Count website and fill in the number of birds sighted. This will be a global count this year for the first time — let’s put Huron on the map with lots of bird species sighted and registered!
