The United Way Heartland Region will begin accepting applications for 2014 funding on March 1. Applications will also be available online after March 1.
The United Way is committed to funding programs that dramatically affect people’s lives and address needs in the community that impact areas of health, education and income. The deadline for submitting an application is March 29.
The United Way is also the PCFO for the Combined Federal Campaign. Organizations wishing to be included in the federal campaign may receive information from the United Way office as well.
A brief one hour informational session about these applications will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 27, at the Huron Campus Center at 8 a.m., followed by a more in-depth grant-writing seminar being sponsored by the Huron Chamber and The United Way.
To register for the grant-writing seminar, or to receive an application for either of these grants, visit the United Way website at www.liveunitedhuron.com or contact Rhonda Kludt at the United Way office 352-3537. For the complete article see the 02-17-2013 issue.
