ROCKHAM — Donovan “Don” Dean Canham, 77, of Rockham, died Thursday, March 7, 2013, at the Avera Hand County Memorial Hospital from idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis.
A celebration of life service will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the United Methodist Church in Miller. Burial will be at G.A.R. Cemetery in Miller.

Donovan Dean Canham was born Jan. 8, 1936, at Mission Hill to John and Isidean (Mayden) Canham. Shortly thereafter they moved to Hand County where he attended school.
On March 3, 1956, he married Joan Margaret Roberts. He lived his entire life in Hand County, and was passionate about farming and ranching. He enjoyed traveling to England and Ireland to visit his wife’s family, camping, card parties and pheasant hunting.
He is survived by four children, Suzan (Keith) Eichler of Aberdeen, Stephen (Barb Tauer) Canham of Chaska, Minn., Andrew (Julie Bawdon) Canham of Miller, and Jeffrey (Ron Wold) Canham of Minneapolis; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a brother, William (Ellen) Canham of Rockham; a brother-in-law, Wilbur Hurd of St. Lawrence; and a niece.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Darlene Hurd; a sister in-law and brother in-law, Dan and Elizabeth Bailey; and a nephew.
