HURON – Effective immediately, speed limits and weight per axle limits have been imposed on Beadle County roads.
The speed limit for trucks on all oil county roads is 40 mph, according to a resolution adopted Tuesday by Beadle County commissioners.
Also, the load limit on all county oil roads will be posted at six tons per axle, with some exceptions.
• Yale Road (411th Avenue, County Road 31), from Highway 14 north to the correction line (196th Street, County Road 8) is posted at eight tons per axle and 40 mph for trucks. From the correction line north on 411th Avenue, County Road 31, to Highway 28, is posted at six tons per axle and 40 mph for trucks.
• County Road 22, Custer Avenue from Highway 14 south to 210th Street, then west to Highway 37, it is posted at legal weight limits and trucks at 40 mph.
• Morningside Main will be posted at legal load limits and 30 mph.
