According to a recent community survey, 95 percent of respondents want to make healthy-eating choices. However, sometimes it is hard to make that choice.
The Huron Wellness Committee has been awarded a five-year grant to increase access and consumption of healthy foods.†The groupís†current task is to identify what healthy food options are available at our local restaurants, convenience and grocery stores and to promote these options for Huron community members.
To help do this, the Huron Wellness Committee is hosting a healthy choices roundtable discussion at 2:30 p.m. today at Cobornís Deli-Restaurant. This is an opportunity to share how the wellness committee can assist businesses in helping customers make the healthy choice ó the EZ choice.
Here are just a few of the reasons to participate:
1) Itís free,
2)†assistance in defining healthy options for your business and consumers,
3) eye-catching logo to use in your business to help your customers easily identify healthy options, and
4) your business will be included in the mutiple†marketing materials made available to all community members.
To participate in this effort to increase access to and consumption of healthy foods,†please complete a quick, four-question†survey at www.vitalityhuron.org to click on the survey link.
This information will be added to the Huron Vitality database to begin promotional efforts.
