REDFIELD — Wanda Adell Dawson, 85, of Redfield, died Wednesday, April 3, 2013, at Community Memorial Hospital in Redfield. Her funeral will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at First Congregational UCC Church in Redfield. The Rev. Tim Fugman will officiate. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery. Wanda Adell Dawson was born Dec. 21, 1927, in Tulare to Harry and Theo (Kenison) Binger. She graduated from Tulare High School and attended one year of college. She was a teacher’s aide at Redfield Public School and worked for a few years at James Valley Nursing Home. She married Kenneth Dawson on Feb. 7, 1951, in Huron.
She enjoyed playing cards, reading to her grandchildren and fishing.
She was a member of the First Congregational UCC Church and women’s fellowship, American Legion Auxiliary and Community Club.
She is survived by her daughter Peggy (Bill) Rose of Colorado Springs, Colo.; son, Scott (Kerry) Dawson of Redfield, her sister Shirley Bradfield of Huron; brothers, Rolla (Elaine) Binger of Tulare and Lanny (Jan) Binger of Wichita, Kan.; and her sister-in-law Barb Binger of Redfield; grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Kenny, on July 30, 2012, and her brother Clayton Binger.
