HURON Candidates and supporters of the proposed $22 million bond issue for three elementary school projects have another week to make their cases with voters.

The April blizzard forced the postponement of the combined city/school election until next Tuesday. Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Running for mayor are Paul Aylward and Kerwin Haeder. City Commission candidates for one open seat are Gary Harrington and Dick Freske, and candidates for two seats on the school board are incumbent Michele Bennett and Garret Bischoff and Sherman Gose.

Absentee voting continues through next Monday.
