WESSINGTON SPRINGS — Last year, 4-H Leaders in South Dakota began fundraising efforts in hopes of forming more stall space for animals for all upcoming Achievement Day events at the Jerauld/Buffalo Fair-grounds. Wilbur-Ellis Company wanted to help with this project and made a monetary donation to the local 4-H group, which will be used to install new windows and continuous fence panels, as well as extend the wash rack so that all animals can be washed at the same time, benefitting the schedule of those participating in Achievement Day.

Last September, Wilbur-Ellis purchased the assets of The Seed Store, located in Wessington Springs. The location now operates as a full-service retail location with Wilbur-Ellis’ portfolio of products including seed, seed treatment, fertilizer, crop protection, value-added nutrition and a full line up of services to include ground and aerial application.

Founded in 1921, Wilbur-Ellis is a leading international marketer and distributor of agricultural products, animal feed and specialty chemicals and ingredients. By developing strong relationships, making strategic market investments and capitalizing on new opportunities, Wilbur-Ellis has continued to grow its business with sales now over $3 billion.
