LAKE PRESTON — Phyllis Marie Tolzin, 70, of Lake Preston, died Wednesday, April 24, 2013, at her rural home near Lake Preston.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday at the Lake Preston Lutheran Church in Lake Preston with the Rev. Wanda McNeill officiating. Burial will be in the Lake Preston City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday, April 26, 2013, at the church and before services on Saturday.
Phyllis Marie Stewart was born June 18, 1942, at Estelline, to Floyd and Nellie (Almos) Stewart. She was confirmed at the Lake Preston Lutheran Church. She attended school in Lake Preston and graduated in 1960. After graduating, she moved to Sioux Falls and worked at Brown Drug.
She married Blaine Tolzin on Feb. 9, 1963.
She was an active member of the Lake Preston Lutheran Church, taught Sunday School and was a member of the Alter Guild.
She enjoyed baking, golfing, gardening and quilting.
She is survived by her husband, Blaine; three children, Scott (Laura) Tolzin of DeSmet, Mike (Jodi) Tolzin of Lake Preston and Dawn (Todd) Nye of Rapid City; six grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother John.
