DOLAND ó Cheryl Ann (Twiss) Riddel, 68, formerly of Doland, died April 28, 2013, at Hospice of the Valley Coronado Home in Phoenix, Ariz.
Burial mass will be Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Bernardís Catholic Church in Redfield with the Rev. Christopher Hughes officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn cemetery in Redfield. Visitation will be Saturday, one hour prior to the funeral at the church. Cheryl Ann Riddel was born Dec. 4, 1944, in San Antonio, Texas to Gordon and Evelyn (Crane) Twiss. She graduated from Doland High School in 1962. She then attended Huron College and graduated with a degree in psychology. She worked in the purchasing department for Sico in Minneapolis, Minn.
She married Russ Riddel in February of 1974. She worked as a para-educator at North Elementary in Sycamore, Ill.
She was active with her church. She enjoyed bowling and was an avid Minnesota sports fan.
She is survived by one daughter, Danelle (Damon) Boyd; one son, Nicholas Riddel, Tempe, Ariz.; three sisters, Linda Twiss, Maplewood, Minn., Maureen (Randy) Geyerman, LeMars, Iowa and Annette (Jim) Roby, Watertown; three brothers, Larry (Debi) Twiss, Aberdeen, Mick (Betty) Twiss, Redfield, and John (Alison) Twiss, Ham Lake, Minn.; three grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.
