FAULKTON — Arlene “Rosie” (Roseland) Heller, 81, of Faulkton, died Friday, May 3, 2013, at the Faulkton Area Medical Center.
Per her request, a graveside service will be held at 6:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Faulkton Cemetery.
A prayer service will be held at 7 p.m. Monday at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Faulkton, with the Rev. Tammy Craker officiating.
Luce Funeral Home of Faulkton announced arrangements.
Arlene Roseland was born April 6, 1932, to George and Genvieve (Neuroth) Roseland on the Seneca family farm. She lived in Faulkton to attend high school.
On March 1, 1954, she married Milton Heller. They began farming on the family farmstead in Orient, moving to the Seneca area in 1957. They lived on the farm until moving into Faulkton in 1991. She enjoyed riding horse, working cattle, and baking.
She was a founding member of Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Faulkton. She was member of the VFW Auxiliary and an 81-year member of the American Legion Auxiliary.
She is survived by her three sons, Steve of Sioux Falls, Craig (Tanya) of Fort Pierre and Tom (Judy) of Seneca; a daughter Kim Vennard of Sioux Falls; 11 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Bernadine (Sister) Selting.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and a brother, Dean Roseland.For the complete article see the 05-05-2013 issue.
