The Bike Across South Dakota is completed! Father Terry Anderson of Holy Trinity Catholic School in Huron and Father Mark Lichter of Sacred Heart Catholic School in Yankton crossed the state line into North Dakota on Friday, May 3, right on schedule! They had started from the Nebraska/South Dakota border near Yankton. The 270-plus mile bike and fundraising race between the two schools ended on a high note for Huron — Holy Trinity won the race for donations with $16,081, and Sacred Heart with $11,771.15! Regan Manning, principal at Sacred Heart Catholic School, is sending popsicles to the children at Holy Trinity Catholic School for winning the contribution race, and Michelle Schoenfelder, Holy Trinity’s principal, is sending popsicles to the Sacred Heart students as well, as they did a fantastic job fundraising for their school as well. Father Terry and Father Mark are grateful to all of the individuals in Huron, Yankton, and all over the state of South Dakota and outside of the state who contributed to the fundraiser.
