WILLOW LAKE — Norman Denman, 90, of Willow Lake, died Friday, June 14, 2013, in the DeSmet Good Samaritan Center at DeSmet.
Visitation will be held on Monday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Congregational United Church of Christ at Willow Lake and will continue on Tuesday morning at the Church after 9 a.m.
Services will be held today at 10:30 a.m. in the Congregational United Church of Christ at Willow Lake with the Rev. Rosanne Anderson officiating. Burial will follow in the Collins Cemetery at Willow Lake.
Norman Denman was born on May 21, 1923, in Carpenter, to Maynard and Ella (Nelson) Denman.
On Oct. 28, 1945, he married Margaret “Marg” Wehrkamp at DeSmet, in her parent’s home.
He was a member of the Congregational United Church of Christ, serving as usher for many years. He enjoyed camping and motorcycle riding.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Marg; siblings, Grover (Helen) Denman and Phyllis Klinkel; and a brother-in-law, Bob Klinkel.
He is survived by his three children, Jerry (Carol) Denman of Watertown; Ron (Janet) Denman of Willow Lake and Jason (Sandy) Denman; siblings, Roger (Delores) Denman of Madison, June Klinkel of Spearfish, and Ruth (Al) Thoman of Golden, Colo.; brother-in-law, Jim Klinkel of DeSmet; grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
