DOLAND — Myrtle Wagner, 90, of Doland, died on June 16, 2013, at the Redfield Community Memorial Hospital. Her funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Doland United Methodist Church with the Rev. Shirley Scotter officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral service at the church. Burial will take place at Walton City Cemetery in Walton, Kansas on Friday at 10:30 a.m.
Myrtle Mae Robinson was born June 21, 1922 in Marion County, Kan., to Clyde and Myrtle (Liggett) Robinson.
She served as a phone operator in Kansas. She was also active in the dairy farm business.
She enjoyed cooking, baking, watching the Kansas Jayhawks basketball team and making quilts. She was a member of the Doland United Methodist Church.
She is survived by step-daughters, Barb (Edward) Reimer, Elaine (Richard) Kasitz and Jan (Marlin) Hiebert; daughter-in-law, Bonnie Wagner, of Doland; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and many step-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Lester; son, Kenneth; siblings, Ben (Alice) Robinson; Cecil (Eunice) Robinson; Betty (Bill) Hiebert; and Doris (Hiram) Young; brothers-in-law, Wayne (Alice) and Earl (Ruth) Wagner.
