HIGHMORE — Donna June Olson, 84, of Pierre, formerly of Highmore, died Wednesday, June 19, 2013, at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls.
Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at the First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Peggy Stempson officiating.
Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at Isburg Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Highmore Cemetery.
Donna June Olson was born on a farm near Iroquois on June 8, 1929, to Roy and Ruth (Whites) Noe in January of 1933.
She married LeRoy Albert Olson in Highmore on Dec. 16, 1945.
She was a member of 4-H, “The Jolly Janes” extension Club, St. Mary’s Auxiliary, VFW Auxiliary, Moose Lodge Auxiliary, Casey Tibbs Rodeo Center, Swishers Ballroom Dance Club and a volunteer for Central SD RSVP.
She is survived by her children, Marlene Carroll of Harrold; three sons, Donald, Terry (Pam) Olson of Highmore and James (Rev. Jodi) Olson of Custer; one sister, Evelyn Thompson of Pierre; brother, Jerry Noe of Bellingham, Wash.; brother-in-law, Kenneth Pullman of Aberdeen; 13 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leroy; her parents; two sisters, Shirley Pullman and Doris Rubendall; two brothers-in-law; one sister-in-law and son-in-law Thomas Carroll.
