MILLER — Albertha Mogle, 88, of Miller, died Thursday, June 20, 2013, at the Good Samaritan Society of Miller.
Her funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Miller with the Rev. Fred Rosin officiating. Burial will follow at G.A.R. Cemetery, Miller. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday with a 7 p.m. prayer service, all at Reck Funeral Home in Miller.
Albertha Ketterling was born Oct. 6, 1924, in Pollock to Adam and Magdalena (Hochhalter) Ketterling. She grew up on a farm in Wishek, N.D.
She married Calvin Janke in 1946. In 1956, she moved to Groton where she worked as a nurse’s aide with Good Samaritan Society. She moved to Miller in 1962 . In 1969, she married Eugene Moos in Miller, and they lived north of Miller until moving to town in 1979. Her husband died in 1989. In 1994, she married George Mogle in Miller.
She is survived by her husband, George Mogle of Miller; a son, Dennis Janke of Prior Lake, Minn.; a daughter, Jan Janke-Hone of Sioux Falls; three grandchildren; brothers, Rev. Eugene Ketterling of Waverly, Iowa, and Berthold Ketterling of Sacramento, Calif.; a twin sister, Ruth (Theo) Neuharth of Marion; two stepchildren, Nancy (Mike) Barondeau of Roscoe, and Dean Mogle of Cincinnati, Ohio; two stepgrandsons; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Eugene Moos; an infant brother, Elmer Ketterling; and an infant daughter, Sharon Janke.For the complete article see the 06-23-2013 issue.
