PIERRE — Myril John Arch, 82, died June 15, 2013 in Pierre.
Services were held in Pierre on Monday at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church.
Myril John Arch was born on Nov. 26, 1931, in Pierre to Anna Mae and Charles Henry Arch.
He graduated from T.F. Riggs High School in 1950, joined the Air Force as a military policeman during the Korean War, and was discharged in 1954. He was later became the founder and owner of the Cattleman’s Club steak house near Pierre.
He married Mary Charlotte Walsh of Belle Fourche on April 4, 1959. He married Mary Petersen in 1991.
He is survived by his children, Charlie (Tammy), of Box Elder; Cindy (Duane Winkler), of Pierre; Myril II (Tammy Dillon), of New Smyrna Beach, Fla.; and Anna, of Pierre; sister, Patricia Arch-Jacobs of Pierre, his half-sister, Mildred Petersen of Anaheim, Calif.; many nieces and nephews; and several grandchildren
He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Mary; his son, Michael; half-brothers, Arthur, Dallas, Edward and William Arch; and half-sisters, Violet Johnson, Edna Schallenkamp, and Lorraine Hawkins.
