Another 2013 “I Made A Difference” award went to Peggy Woolridge and Steve Besch, 658 Ninth Street SW. they have re-sided their home, added new windows, new shingles, gutters and a new concrete driveway and sidewalks. Peggy also has an array of beautiful flowers to accent their home. Peggy and Steve received a flag from the VFW Post 1776 Ladies Auxiliary; gift certificates from Lewis Drug, East River Nursery and Dakota Provisions; and a gift from Runnings. The “I Made A Difference” program is sponsored by the Huron Community Improvement Committee. Nomination forms can be picked up at the Huron Chamber & Visitors Bureau or the Parks and Recreation Department at the new Campus Center. Nominations can also be found on Huron’s website or just send a note to Denise Matson at firstname.lastname@example.org. We are in need of some nominations, so please show your neighbors and friends you appreciate the work they have done to improve your community.
