HURON — The South Dakota State Fair announces a free performance by Gwen Sebastian on Sunday, Sept. 1, at 3 p.m. on the NorthWestern Energy Freedom Stage.
Sebastian started her country music career in North Dakota where she flirted with radio success and some independent music projects before auditioning for the second season of NBC’s “The Voice.” With the help of her coach, Blake Shelton, “The Voice” has catapulted her career forward.
Since her push forward with “The Voice,” Sebastian has toured with her coach, Blake Shelton, as well as Miranda Lambert and Dierks Bentley. She recently released a self-titled third studio album, featuring the hits “Suitcase” and “Met Him in a Motel Room.”
Sebastian’s voice has a unique character with the ability to combine strength, vulnerability and a few unexpected twists to pull the listener through a journey with her music.
“It’s our goal to bring high quality entertainment to our free stages, especially the NorthWestern Energy Freedom Stage,” said State Fair Manager Jerome Hertel. “Gwen Sebastian’s energy combined with her unique sound will make for a great show for fairgoers.”
Sebastian’s show at the NorthWestern Energy Freedom Stage will be free to all attendees of the South Dakota State Fair.
