REDFIELD ó Eleanor Marie Frankenstein, 93, of Redfield, died Saturday, Aug. 10, 2013, at Golden Living Center in Redfield.
Her funeral will be Monday at 10:30 a.m. at Our Saviorís Lutheran Church in Redfield. The Rev. Brian Wasmoen will officiate. After a time for lunch and fellowship, the burial will be in the Tulare Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 3 to 8 p.m. with the family present, starting at 6 p.m. with a prayer service at 7 p.m. at Thelen Funeral Home in Redfield. Memorials preferred for Our Saviorís Lutheran Church.
Eleanor Marie Anderson was born on Nov. 22, 1919, in Swea City, Iowa, to William and Hannah Anderson.
She was confirmed in the Orient Lutheran Church. She graduated from Orient High School. She completed one year at Northern State Teachers College in 1939.
She married Willis Roger Frankenstein on Sept. 25, 1942, at her parentís home southeast of Redfield. They farmed for 47 years.
She was part of the Loyal Workers Extension Club and was active in the Love Circle at Our Saviorís Lutheran Church.
She is survived by her two sons, Ronald (Anita) of Redfield; James (LaDonna) of Redfield; three sisters, Helen Eckman of Minneapolis, Martha Hawkinson of Denver and Ruth Jessen of Redfield; one brother, Lennart Anderson of Redfield; four sisters-in-law; seven grandchildren; eleven (soon to be one more) great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Willis; two infant children, Mildred and Arlen: brothers, Carl, Philip, Paul, and Wallace; five brothers-in-law; and one sister-in-law.For the complete article see the 08-16-2013 issue.
