MINNETONKA, Minn. — Constandena “Dena” Georgiades, 96, of Minnetonka, Minn., and formerly of Huron, died Saturday, Sept. 21, 2013, at her home.
A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Mary’s Greek Orthodox Church in Minneapolis.
Memorials may be given to the St. Mary’s Greek Orthodox Church or the American Diabetes Foundation.
Constandena “Dean” Georgiades was born June 7, 1917, to John and Vasiliky Georgiades. She was raised in Huron. During WWII she worked at the Pentagon, returning to Huron where she was employed at First National Bank as secretary to the president for 42 years. She moved to Minnetonka in 1988 to be closer to her sisters.
She was a member of St. Mary’s Greek Orthodox Church and Philoptohos.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and siblings, George, Helene and Nicholas.
She is survived by three sisters, Katherine Georgiades of Minnetonka, Marye Finsand of Versailles, Ky., and Ginger (John) Roberts of Overland Park, Kan.; and many nieces and nephews.For the complete article see the 10-06-2013 issue.
