Her burial mass will be Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at St Bernardís Catholic Church. Her grandson, the Rev. Justin Wachs and the Rev. Christopher Hughes will officiate. Burial will be in St. Bernardís Cemetery in Redfield. Visitation will be at St. Bernardís Catholic Church Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m. with family present. A rosary and scriptural wake service will follow. There will be no viewing prior to the mass.
Elaine Elizabeth Boyd was born on Aug. 27, 1925, in Redfield, to Ralph and Wilhelmena (Gueke) Boyd.
On Nov. 9. 1942, she married Francis Roth of Dimock. She was involved in church and the GGG club and was an active member of St. Bernardís. She was also a charter member of the Blue Army cell prayer group and a member of the Sierra club.
She is survived by her sons, Ralph (Glenda) of Redfield and Lynn (Nancy) of Abilene, Texas; daughters, Eileen (Bob) Graham of Aberdeen, Kathy Harr of Redfield, Marilyn (Dr. David) Wachs of Aberdeen and Karen (Steve) Randall of Platte; daughter-in-law, Justina Roth of Redfield; 28 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; sister, Gladie Tuscher; sister-in-law, Mary Ann Boyd; sisters-in-law Jerri Boyd and Celesta Roth; and close friend, Theresa Esser.
She was preceded in death by her husband; sons, John and Gene; brothers, Melvin, Laverne and Delbert; daugher-in-law Mary Ann (Heber) and son-in-law, Doyle Harr; one grandson; one great-granddaugher; and brother-in-law, Ray Roth.
