The Grandmotherís Treasured Quilt Show will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, at the Centennial Stone Church, located on the corner of 4th Street southeast and Kansas Avenue. The show will feature a wide variety of quilts with one thing in common their antiquity.
The Blazing Star quilt (second photo) has a storied history of being made in Scotland and then being brought over to the United States in 1880. The quilt is being donated by R.J. Drew. The show is being held to raise funds for the repair of a window in the Stone Church.
