HURON ó Lonnie K. Hamann, 63, of Huron, formerly of Clear Lake, died Wednesday, Oct. 23, 2013, at the Avera McKennan Hospital, Sioux Falls.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Monday in the St. Paulís Lutheran Church in Clear Lake. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in the Lakeview Cemetery, Clear Lake. The Houseman Funeral Home in Clear Lake is in charge of arrangements.
Lonnie Keith Hamann was born on July 28, 1950, to Alvin and Maroa (Olson) Hamann in Clear Lake. He was baptized and confirmed at St. Paulís Lutheran Church in Clear Lake. He attended Clear Lake School. He worked various jobs as a part of the Huron Area Center for Independence program.
He enjoyed watching movies and going on nature outings. As a young boy, he enjoyed all sports; had collected baseball cards and never missed a World Series. He also enjoyed driving his Honda motorbike and his Chevrolet Bel-Air.
He is survived by his father, Alvin Hamann and his wife, Lorraine, of Clear Lake; two brothers, Eugene Hamann of Clear Lake and Julius (Jody) Hamann of Montevideo, Minn.; one sister, Irene Hamann of Las Vegas, Nev. and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother; grandparents and several aunts and uncles.
