FEDORA — Charles H. Lewis, 87, of Fedora, died Friday, Dec. 20, 2013, in the Human Services Center, Yankton.
Funeral services will begin at 2 p.m. Monday at the Willoughby Funeral Home, Howard. The Rev. Richard Poppen will officiate. Burial will take place in Morgans Cemetery, Fedora. Visitation will begin Monday at 10 a.m. at the funeral home.
Charles Howard Lewis was born on May 3, 1926, on a farmstead in Miner Township, Miner County, to Ellis Ellsworth and Georgia Cenith (Ingersoll) Lewis.
On June 21, 1953, he married O’ttile Fischer in Pick City, N.D. They returned to farming.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Ottile Lewis of Fedora; two sons, Lee (Linetta) Lewis of Fedora and Larry (Cindy) Lewis of Fedora; two daughters, Lana Lewis of Mitchell, Lynn Schaefer of New Ulm, Minn.; seven grandchildren; and three great -grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Everett Lewis; a sister, Eleanor Ford; and a son-in-law, Richard Schaefer.
