Over 100 people attended Thursday’s Go Red event sponsored by Huron Regional Medical Center. The 10th annual event was held at the Huron Campus Center. There were 13 informational booths covering topics such as exercise, cholesterol levels, effects of smoking, diabetes, warning signs of heart attack, CPR and AED use, blood pressure and body mass index screenings, and 16 heart-healthy food samples. In the next photo, Dr. Karl Blessinger, pathologist at Huron Regional Medical Center and avid cook, preparing a revamped cake recipe making it healthier and lower in calories.
