SENECA — James C. Beam, 71, of Seneca, died Thursday, June 5, 2014, at the Faulkton Area Medical Center.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the United Church of Faulkton with the Rev. Tammy Craker officiating. Burial will follow at the Oakland Cemetery, Seneca. A prayer service will be held at 7 p.m. today at the Luce Funeral Home, Faulkton, with visitation one hour prior.
James C. Beam was born June 15, 1942, to Glen and Anna (Tschudy) Beam in Faulkton. He attended Faulkton High School.
He worked with EB Kast as a farm hand before going to work for Lietheizer Elevator and Seneca Egg Co. He then started farming the family farm which he continued to do up until the time of his death.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing and collecting farm toys.
He is survived by his siblings, Roland D. Beam of Rapid City and Dorothy (Jim) Saddler of Dumfries, Va.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Harvey.
