DE SMET — Wesley Robish, 82, died at home in De Smet on June 9, 2014.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Osthus Funeral Home in De Smet. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, at 2 p.m. at the United Church of Christ in De Smet. Osthus Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Wesley Edwin Robish was born on a farm near Hazel to Edwin and Cletus (Schaffer) Robish. He graduated from Hazel High School in 1949.
He married Lenora De Witt on June 14, 1952, in Watertown.
He is survived by his wife; four children, Robert (Mary Jo) Robish of Redwood Falls, Minn., Diana (Joe) Mayberry of Atlanta, Ga., Roxane (Randy) Wilde of De Smet and Cindy Finkbeiner (Gary Lenz) of De Smet; three sisters; six sisters-in-law, four brothers-in-law; nine grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He enjoyed driving the De Smet school bus, carpentry, small engine repair, keeping up his yard, roller skating, bowling, and playing cards.
He was preceded in death by his stepmother, Jo Robish; one grandson; his brother, Maynard; sister, Phyllis Bochek; several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law; nieces and nephews.
