BONILLA — Alan French, 56, of Bonilla, died on Monday, June 9, 2014, at his home.
His funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Bonilla First Presbyterian Church with burial at Bonilla Memorial Cemetery. Visitation with family present will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Welter Funeral Home in Huron; or one hour before the service at the church. His family prefers memorials.
Alan Dean French was born on July 26, 1957, in Huron, to Norman and Korlys (Delaney) French. He graduated from Hitchcock High School in 1975. After graduation he started working on the family farm beside his father.
He married Noreen Welch at the Bonilla First Presbyterian Church on March 18, 1978.
He enjoyed hunting, going to dirt track races, going to classic rock concerts, and collecting International Harvester tractors.
He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Noreen French of Bonilla; three sons, Bryce (Desirae) French of Bonilla, Chad (Shayla) French of Huron, Darin French of Highmore; five grandchildren; two sisters, Diane (Richard Breitag) French of Redfield, Denise (David) Hofeman of Redfield; stepmother, Myrna French of Redfield; stepbrother, Norman (Jody) Siebrecht of Redfield; stepsister, Brenda (Jason) Hammrich of Aberdeen; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents and one grandson.
