HURON — The United Way Heartland Region has announced the campaign goal for 2015 at $282,000. After many hours of discussion and deliberation, the UW Board has set the 2015 campaign goal based on the requests and past support from the giving people of the Huron community and surrounding areas.
For many years UWHR has met or exceeded the goal, which is an amazing accomplishment and it would not be possible without the generosity of so many.
UWHR funds programs and projects that focus on education, income and health, which makes our communities a better place to call home.
The UWHR board would like to thank everyone for last year’s great success in the annual United Way campaign.
“The 2015 goal is the largest goal to date and with your help, I am confident that we can meet and even surpass the goal.” said United Way chairman, Chris Nohr.
In September, every household in Beadle County will receive information about the United Way Heartland Region funded programs and individuals are encouraged to return the pledge card and donation via the mail or return the pledge card to places of employment
