Armed robbery at Huron business: Police seek public help to find suspect

Law enforcement authorities have released this security camera image of an individual who robbed the North Star convenience store at gunpoint Wednesday night. PHOTO CONTRIBUTED

HURON An armed robbery at a north Huron convenience store Wednesday night is under investigation by police, a public information officer said.

Officer Sarah Bowen said at about 9:30 p.m. Wednesday a masked individual entered the rear door of the North Star business at 1555 Dakota Ave. N.

The individual held the clerk at gunpoint and demanded the clerk to put cash into a black duffel bag. The suspect exited the store with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The suspect is described as wearing oversized, bulky, dark clothing, a black ski mask and a single pink glove.

The gun appeared to be a black semi-automatic pistol.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Huron Police Department at 353-8550 or the Huron Area Crime Stoppers at 353-8555. Callers may remain anonymous.
