HURON — Mary Jane Wilson, 72, of Huron, died Friday, May 25, 2012, at the Avera Dougherty Hospice House in Sioux Falls.
Her funeral will be 11 a.m. today at First United Methodist Church in Miller with the Rev. Mary Ann Sheldon officiating. Burial will follow in G.A.R. Cemetery at Miller.
Mary Jane Yvonne Gabriel was born July 5, 1939, to Frank and Imogene (Holcomb) Gabriel at Faulkton. She attended school in Rockham and Miller. She married George Wilson Dec. 28, 1957. They lived in Miller until 1969 when they moved to Huron. She sold Avon, taught Sunday school and was a Girl Scout and Boy Scout leader.
She is survived by her father of Cresbard; her husband; eight children, David (Gail) of Scottsdale, Ariz., Deb Hart of Huron, and Dick (Sharon), Diane (Kurt) Enget, Tim (Cheryl), Rod (Michelle), Randy and Georgene (Mike) Becker, all of Sioux Falls; 26 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Rita Rudloff of Huron, Gloria Clarke of Ottertail, Minn., and Susan Rasmussen of Kauhauna, Wis.; and a sister-in-law, Joann (Richard) Kruger of Groton.
She was preceded in death by her mother; stepfather, Lloyd Marsh; a brother, Gary Gabriel; and three brothers-in-law, Ed Rudloff, Alan Rasmussen and Roger Clarke.
