HURON — Leonard Woehl, 66, of Huron, died on Saturday, Aug. 17, 2013, at the Violet Tschetter Memorial Home in Huron.
His memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Welter Funeral Home in Huron. His body will be cremated and burial of his cremated remians will be held at Ellendale Cemetery in Ellendale, N.D. at a later date. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home .
Leonard William Woehl was born to William and Esther Ruth (Miller) Woehl on April 17, 1947, in Fargo, N.D. He worked for Olsen’s Implement, hauling machinery and driving truck. He also worked for various farms in Kansas.
He married Sheryl Landon on June 16, 1973, at the Kvernes Lutheran Church in Carrington, N.D.
He was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church.
He enjoyed working on cars.
He is survived by Aaron’s mother, Sheryl Woehl of Huron; son, Aaron (Shauna) Woehl, of Springfield, Ohio; four grandchildren; and brother, Loren Woehl of Williford, Ark.; and special friend, Joyce Hannon.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Esther; step-mother, Mary Lou Woehl; and a sister, LucilleBuerkle.
