HURON — While numbers reported Monday to the South Dakota Department of Health (DOH) indicated a reduction on active COVID-19 cases statewide, Beadle County and Heartland Region active numbers both went up slightly with Monday reporting.
The state reported 79 new positive cases, one new death, and 116 new recovered cases in Monday’s DOH report. Active cases in the state declined by 40 to 1,211.
Beadle County added one new positive case and no new recovered cases, which bumped up the active cases in the county to 28.
The Heartland Region reported four new positive cases and no new recovered cases among the seven counties in the region on Monday. That bumped the active virus cases in the Heartland up to 57.
